It’s amazing to think that a company who, at one time, revolutionized and dominated the video game world has seen better days... but their spirit still burns and they still know how to knock one out of the park every once in a while. While far from their first game, Taito’s 1978 Arcade game, “Space Invaders“, brought the company worldwide acclaim. As such, it should come as no surprise that, to commemorate 30 years of pop culture madness, Taito (and Gulti) made sure to put out a game that would not disgrace the original, titled “Space Invaders Extreme“. Being an excellent revamp, the game features updated graphics, sound and gameplay without going overboard (Ex: Space Raiders). It was published by Square Enix outside of Japan.
