Our Royal Visitors (1938)

Item title reads - Our Royal Visitors. Duke of Kent at Dover welcomes King Carol and Prince Michael of Rumania to England. L/S of the ship ’Sikh’ in the fog. Various shots of King Carol and 17 year old Prince Michael of Rumania stood on deck, the King is wearing an admiral’s uniform and his son is in the uniform of the Alpine Regiment. The ship sails up to the dock. Prince George, Duke of Kent, goes aboard, they salute and shake hands. He is piped ashore. Various shots as he meets Lord Camden and senior officers of the defence forces, the band plays the Rumanian National Anthem. M/S pan across officers saluting. M/S as King Carol gets off the train at Victoria station and shakes hands with King George VI. He also meets Lord Crewe and Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain as well as the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs of London. M/S as they all walk away.
