Mechanical Toy Restoration

Rare Mechanical toy Restoration from mid-1950’s. It is a cute teddy bear on a rusty crank wind up scooter. The engine is dead so I will repair the engine, fix the scooter and restore the teddy bear so he looks nice and clean again. ABOUT THE MECHANICAL TOY SCOOTER I bought this old toy from a barn sale here in Sweden a few years ago. He was just standing there old and dusty looking cute. I just knew directly that I had to fix him. The last couple of years it has been standing here in my garage and gathered more rust and dust. Now it is time to restore this cute mechanical toy. ABOUT THIS TOY RESTORATION I started by disassembling the wheels and then I carefully detached the cute teddy bear from the little scooter. Then I continued with the scooter frame and the more mechanical parts as the engine/gearbox. It was quite easy only 3 rivets, 6 metal flaps and two pins that was all holding it together. I sandblasted the bigger metal parts and gave them some good layer of spray paint. The
