When we were writing lyrics for this song, we had an image of an old man sitting in a pub, drinking himself to death in our heads. The music just seemed to be fitting for this story. Thus we got a sad tale of a guy who had a shit life, couldn’t work and was left by family. He resorted to finding help at the bottom of a bottle and ended up contemplating what he should do with the Death itself, only to realize that “Death“ was himself all along.
