Another rushed A500 to CD32 port, both versions released in 1994. Only noticeable additions are CD music and a short intro. There are lots of things to like in BnS and it’s one of the most original platformers for the Amiga, but unfortunately trying to complete it isn’t much fun! Some of the puzzles are hard to figure out, but bad controls together with some design choices are bigger problems.
Running is done by double jabbing the control, even when there are several buttons on the CD32 controller that could be assigned for that function! Trying to approach a hazard carefully in tight spots by taking small steps often triggers Bubba to run straight into doom. Character design occupies quarter of the vertical space on the screen and is uncomfortable to deal with, especially when there’s so little room to see above and below.
