Tunisia hotel attacker Seifeddine Rezgui was once a fan of Eminem and breakdancing - TomoNews
SOUSSE, TUNISIA — Authorities and family struggle to understand transformation of the man behind the brutal Islamic State-inspired attack in Tunisia
Little is known about the path to radicalization for Seifeddine Rezgui, the gunman who killed 38 tourists in Sousse.
Friends and family in his hometown of Gaafour knew him as a friendly and hardworking engineering student.
He loved hip-hop and dancing, posting pictures of rapper Eminem and videos of himself breakdancing on Facebook.
But last year he began posting messages about jihad and links to ISIS videos before disappearing from social media.
His father says they saw no indication of his extreme views and noticed nothing out of the ordinary when he visited them the day before the attack.
Tunisian authorities have confirmed that they do not believe Rezgu acted on his own.
