Congress claims that TikTok poses a national security threat due to alleged “Chinese surveillance.” But what is really behind the ban? Kj Noh, a Peace activist, a scholar on the geopolitics of Asia & organizer with Pivot to Peace, joins the show to discuss this absurd outcome of the US Cold War against China.

Rutendo Matinyarare - The US has lifted its two-decade-old unilateral and illegal sanctions program on Zimbabwe, opting instead for targeted sanctions on specific individuals and entities, including President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Zimbabwe stands as one of the most sanctioned countries in the world, as different Western powers target the nation with sanctions in an effort to destabilize it for resisting their influence. Rutendo Matinyarare, the Chairperson of Zimbabwe Anti-Sanctions Movement (ZASM) and founder of Zimbabweans Unite Against US War Sanctions (ZUAUWS) joins the show to discuss what the US’s move means for Zimbabwe.
