Sergei Polunin Returns to the Stage After His Achilles Injury

Update on ballet dancer, Sergei Polunin’s, recovery from his Achilles tendon injury and his return to the stage. While Sergei anticipates it being another month or so before he is back in full form, he was excited to participate along with many other ballet stars in the Sevastopol Opera and Ballet Theater’s gala on July 28th and 29th, 2022, just four months after surgery on his Achilles tendon. Sergei was injured at a gala performance on March 3, 2022. Shortly afterwards he had surgery and treatment in Dubai, where he stayed with his family for many months. They have recently returned to Moscow and, as his recovery continues on a steady course, he has begun scheduling tour dates for “Rasputin“, “Dante Metanoia“, and other performances. He has been enjoying family time with Elena, Mir, and new baby Dar, and he and Elena have officially announced their engagement and plans for wedding in the near future.
