The Willamette Wetlands of the Kalapuya mural, completed in July 2022, is a foundation to educate the community about past and present Kalapuya lifeways and their intimate knowledge and relationships to the wetland plants and animals of the Willamette Valley. Many native plants in the mural are featured in the Kalapuya language, which is one of many indigenous languages on the brink of extinction.
🗺This mural is located on the east side of the Coleman Community center in Westmoreland Park.
