In northwestern Pakistan, most observant Muslims strictly avoid alcohol -- but some members of the Sufi sect tolerate the use of hashish or other forms of cannabis. A Sufi shrine in Peshawar is one gathering place where visitors smoke hashish, apparently without fear of repercussions. (AFP)
