Timber Framing Tusk Tenon

Timber frame Tusk tenon joint, this joint is used mostly in floor construction. The tenon passes through the mortised timber and is wedged to hold tightly in place, the wedge is working in a similar way to the draw bore of pegged joinery. The top shoulder of the tenon is tapered back to reduce the material removed from the top side of the mortise. Comments, Likes and shares of my videos much appreciated. Subscribe.
