IT’S BEEN SO LONG - WILLOWPELT PMV (COLLAB WITH ORIONFUJIWARA)

“I’M SORRY MY SWEET BABY, I WISH I’D BEEN THERE...“ - - - - - Wow where to even begin with this. This is a project @orionfujiwara and i started back in 2019. I finished in the same year but there was about a year or so gap in between our projects- but just this month Orion was able to finish his parts!! He really did such a great job with his editing, he doesn’t get to work much on video projects but when he does I tell ya, some magical stuff happens. Willowpelt and Darkstripe are characters Orion, I, and another friend of ours hold dear, he’s such a pathetic little funny guy. and we also love willowpelt, so years ago we played around with some of their history and family dynamics. Here are some fun ones if you wanna read, if not just skip for video explanation: -Willowpelt had Darkstripe at a very young age, with a very old warrior: Tawnyspots, who we all know is frail and sickly, passing on some of that fragility onto Darkkit. Not long after, Tawnyspots died, leaving Willowpelt alone to raise Darkkit, who for fun we can say never wanted to have kits in the first place, and therefore kinda distanced herself from Darkstripe, thus leaving her son to find comfort in another adult figure: Tigerclaw. -What we can guess from the timeline, Darkpaw was apprentices with Mousefur and Runningwind. We’d imagine the two siblings either ignored Darkpaw, or teased, bullied, or were just plain mean to him. This comes back to bite them when Tigerclaw kills Runningwind, and when Darkstripe causes Mousefur’s death in the Dark Forest vs Clans battle. -Along with this, WIllowpelt is best friends with White-eye/One eye, as they were mothers together. -Darkstripe is insanely jealous of Graystripe and Sorrelkit, as Willowpelt loved them from the moment they were born, unlike Darkstripe. Darkstripe felt no guilt when poisoning Sorrelkit. -Graystripe kills his half brother Darkstripe in the Bloodclan battle! ****Anyway****, this video is about Willowpelt having neglected her role as a parent, that unintentionally leads to Darkstripe straying away from the path of a warrior, and into Tigerclaw’s bloody destiny. This isn’t to say that Willowpelt being a bad parent makes her responsible for Darkstripes actions. In no way am I saying that. Willowpelt in this video regrets pushing away Darkstripe, but by the time she wants to form a connection again, he’s already pushed her away as well. He ignores the birth of his younger half brother Graystripe and is rude to him and his friends, he doesn’t really care about her brother Redtail’s death but more so about how Tigerclaw is a Hero. he’s bitter about Willowpelt finding happiness with Whitestorm (why does she get to move on and be happy?, he thinks) He constantly sabotages her happiness with his pettiness. Finally he crosses the line when he poisons Sorrelkit. No longer is she going to feel sorry for herself or Darkstripe, she completely casts him out of her life as he is exiled, only apologizing that she wasn’t there for him when he needed her. He leaves with a sneer and never looks back. The next time she sees him is watching her two sons battle, Graystripe eventually ending Darkstripe’s life. And although both hated Darkstripe, they cant help but feel remorse (maybe not Graystripe lol but I’m sure he never enjoys killing) and regret, wishing things could’ve been different. Wish we could’ve fit Whitestorm’s death in too, because he also dies in the battle with Bloodclan!
