I wanted to continue to go down the route of deep and soulful sounds but with attention toward the dancefloor. If Inner Chords was about staying in, the Afterparty Mix is about going out until sunrise grooving to timeless classics. The sourcing of tracks took another step deeper into the early 90s and further into the underground. The origins of discovering these tracks range from DJ sets, really hidden Spotify playlists, specific Youtube channels, and hours going through catalogs of records on Discogs reading through comments. It was a real joy to go through discographies and learn the rich history of labels such as Subliminal, Fourth Floor, Strictly Rhythm, Pagan, Paper Recordings, Guidance Recordings, Glasgow Underground, and MAW just to name a few.
