Louis Prima and Keely Smith - Bei Mir Bist Du Schon (1959)

Charted at #69 on Billboard Hot 100 in August 1959. Their biggest duet hit was “That Old Black Magic“ which charted the previous year. This was their last duet entry to chart on the Hot 100. Originally composed as a yiddish song for a yiddish musical in 1932, it was re-written with english lyrics and recorded by the Andrews Sisters in 1937. It became their first hit. Written by Cahn, Chaplin, Jacobs and Secunda. B-side is “I Don’t Know Why“.
