Live at Diese Onze Jazz Club, Montreal, Quebec, October 18, 2010.
This beautiful Jazz standard is performed by Montreal saxophonist Al McLean. McLean gives a soulful interpretation of the rhythmically shifting tune, and is featured on a rare 1923 Buescher curved soprano saxophone. The instrument was completely rebuilt by McLean, and is being played for the first time in over half a century.
McLean is joined by some of Montreal’s finest players, Dave Watts on bass, Jan Jarczyk on piano, and Michel Berthiaume on drums.
