Mickey Baker - WHISTLE STOP - 1959 Stereo!

Mickey Baker pioneered much of the way guitar was done in early R&B, rock, doo wop, etc. He was on more sessions in NY than most people realize. Everett Barksdale, also a NY session guitarist, is on the Danelectro 6-string bass here, which is higher than a regular bass, and used often by players after its introduction in ’56. Abie Baker is on upright bass, and Sticks Evans is on drums.
