J. S. Bach(?): Ich hab’ mein’ Sach’ Gott heimgestellt BWV 708 & 708a. Henrik Berg, organ.

Ich hab’ mein’ Sach’ Gott heimgestellt BWV 708 & 708a (from the Kirnberger collection) attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), played on the 1783 Niclas (Nils) Söderström organ in Husby Church, Dala-Husby, Sweden. This instrument is one of the biggest 18th century organs still remaining in Sweden, and quite unique in that it was built by the organist of the church, who was an organ builder who unfortunately failed his exams. He built some organs anyway, but there are certainly some technical quirks to this instrument. The organ was left virtually unchanged to our days, and a new instrument was built on the loft underneath it in 1935, almost invisible. Here I’m using: ’Manual’ (Great): Borduna 16, Principal 8’, Flagflöjt 8’, Octava 4’, Qvinta 3’, Octava 2’, Mixtur 3 ch.; ’Öfververk’ (upper division): Gedacht 8’, Principal 4’, Qvinta 3’, Octava 2’, Sesqvialtera 2 ch., manual coupler. For BWV 708a I add Bassun 16
