While the twin-turbo flat-six will continue in the Carrera and Carrera S, The new naturally aspirated engine will replace the current turbo engines in the GTS models and will also be adopted in the GT3 models, albeit at a later stage. The Turbo and Turbo S models are also set for an upgrade, shifting from their current engines to more advanced twin-turbo engines. This T-HEV system includes a 2.0 kWh battery and an electric motor capable of generating an additional 80-90 horsepower. The hybrid system will be centered around a modified twin-turbo flat-six engine, projected to deliver 395 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. When combined with the electric motor, the total output is expected to be around 478 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. Looking ahead, Porsche is planning even more powerful hybrid systems, including a speculated GT2 RS model with a hybrid setup, potentially surpassing 800 hp.
