In fact, there is no such thing as one British accent. As I said in the video, everyone has their own accent and no two voices and ways of speaking are the same. “British“ is a convenient label for grouping the accents of people within Britain and there are similarities between a lot of the accents here. The rules I mention in this video don’t apply to all the accents in the UK, particularly in places like Scotland where it can have very different rules. Remember these are just general tips for those of you who want to sound more natural - whatever that means to you - and “British“ is just a label. A video titled “How to get Michael’s accent“ would be a lot less interesting! In short, focus on your pronunciation in English and be proud of your own accent, whatever that may be.
