Kuhl Racing’s - Chrome GTR on Savini Concave Step Lips

Recorded on Atomos Shogun 4K with Sony a7s and Canon L Glass This is Kuhl Racing’s Chrome Painted GTR that won Best of Show at Tokyo Auto Salon 2015. The 3D Paint was done by Takahiko Izawa of Artis. I was told that the car is first sprayed with 15 layers of their etching paint. Each line was then hand carved into the body with a final coat of the chrome on top. The entire process took a team of 4 people working every day for 3 months strait. I was able to get a hold of this car when shooting it during SEMA 2015 for Savini wheels. The wheels on the car are Savini’s new Concave Step Lip design that are very pleasing to the eye.
