One of a series of short films produced in 1969 by Charles Grinker and Mert Koplin, “Which Way USA -- Black Views on Race“ provided brief portraits of many African American leaders including Martin Luther King, Cassius Clay, Malcolm X, Sidney Poitier, and others. This episode features Horace Julian Bond (1940 – 2015). Bond served in the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia State Senate, was chairman of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and helped establish the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) and Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama.
