The passengers are a group of air travel pioneers who started the world’s first international air passenger service in 1919. They are going on a jet flight to Paris to mark the 50th anniversary. A woman in Edwardian dress (BEA air hostess Judy Ablewhite) opens the doors to let the passengers out. C/U of the woman holding a tray of newspapers, grouse and Devonshire cream - the original cargo on the first flight 50 years ago. The men look at a photocopy of the Evening Standard with a headline about their flight - ’To Paris and Back By Air’. Archive footage of the first flight - single engine plane being prepared, pilot (Captain Bill Lawford) shaking hands with several men, people drinking a toast to the flight.
