Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Wednesday launched a longshot bid for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination with a rally in Boston.
He is the son of former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy (D-NY), who served in his brother’s administration as attorney general and was a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1968 before his assassination.
He becomes the second challenger to President Biden, who has not yet announced his reelection bid, along with author and self-help guru Marianne Williamson, who launched her campaign in February.
