Bears cool off from the California heatwave in a backyard pool

A mother bear and her cub escaped the Southern California heat by taking a swim in a backyard pool. This footage, shot by Paul Hubler at his Glendale home on July 2, shows the duo frolicking about in his pool before heading back into the wilderness. A DEADLY heatwave has pushed temperatures to record highs in the Northwest as California’s drought has led to an invasion of rattlesnakes. Parts of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana are all experiencing record-high temperatures that could be dangerous and will leave certain areas more vulnerable to wildfires.
