For months US State Department spokespersons fooled journalists by justifying Israeli action in the occupied Palestinian Territories and now Lebanon by saying that Hamas and Hezbollah hid behind civilians and how they were using civilians as human shields. Now it has emerged that Israelis have been using Palestinians as human shields in the occupied West Bank. A reporter on Wednesday left Matthew Miller stumped by asking if the IDF will now get the same tag as Hamas and Hezbollah have received from the US.
