Greenland: 12 Man Crew Sets Sail Aboard Viking Long Ship For USA - 1997
A twelve-man crew has set sail from Greenland aboard a replica Viking long ship, heading for North Ameica.
The modern day Vikings face 19 hundred miles of north Atlantic - in a voyage that’s meant to recreate the journey of Norse explorer, Leif Ericsson.
Ericsson is reputed to have been the first European to reach America - exactly one thousand years ago.
