Marion Cotillard behind the scenes for Chanel No5’s 100th anniversary | Bazaar UK

This week, the world’s most iconic perfume turns 100. Chanel No5, the first fragrance launched by a female couturier, has spanned decades as the signature scent of women across the globe. To mark this milestone, Chanel is releasing a celebratory campaign film, starring new face Marion Cotillard. The film, shot by renowned Swedish director Johan Renck, sees Cotillard dance through an otherworldly journey in a spun-gold dress – Virginie Viard’s ode to one of Gabrielle’s original gowns. The campaign truly spotlights Cotillard’s multi-faceted talents: she sings the soundtrack, a cover of a Lorde’s Team, herself. But it was the dancing that proved a true challenge. Go behind the scenes with the actress on the making of the campaign, in our exclusive video.
