Germany: ’Querdenken’ scuffle with police in Stuttgart, Antifa gather for counter-demo

Subscribe to our channel! A crowd of protesters from ’Querdenken’ (’Lateral Thinking’) anti-coronavirus measure movement gathered in Stuttgart to rally against COVID restrictions, Saturday. A strong police presence could be seen, as officers and mounted police were surrounding the protesters. Police ordered maskless demonstrators to put their face covering on and blocked several Querdenken activists from passing through police lines. Meanwhile, a big group of Antifa counter-protesters gathered on Marienplatz and marched through the city. On Friday, German Health Ministry spokesperson Sebastian Gulde excluded any possibility of loosening the restrictions, aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19, before the incidence numbers drop. “Before we can talk about steps towards reopening, also accompanied by tests, we have first to bring the incidence down,“ he said at a press conference.
