GOLD & EMERALD ATOCHA 1622 SHIPWRECK RING ARTIFACT PIRATE GOLD COINS JR BISSELL
Listed $25,000
EXTREMELY RARE SHIPWRECK TREASURE ~ GOLD & EMERALD RING 1622 ATOCHA
**The Emerald is a modern gemstone from the same MUZO mine in Bogota Colombia (not the original in the ring from the Atocha, which was Lost over the decades since discovery, see below).
.
This incredibly Rare Emerald Gold ring was discovered by Mel Fisher’s co. back in 1995 and comes with the original Diver’s Plastic Tag (TAG / Artifact #95A-29459) as well as the Original “Salvage Division“ copy.
The Salvage Division for 1995 shows not only the Ring (143 pts.) with missing gemstone but the Emeralds in the above line item. The salvor had the original item and the Gold ring but could not find the stone many years later when he finally decided to part with this incredible Artifact (nearly 30 years later). We had a highly skilled master craftsman in Florida (who specializes in Emeralds) match the original piece, and the stone is from the Same mine (Muzo). It has been expertly set and sized to match this original emerald and reflects the Original beauty the day it was created, no doubt, for Royalty or a high dignitary.
The rectangular Colombian Emerald is approx. 2 ½ Carats and has beautiful deep green colors and very nice clarity. The Gold ring is 21-22kt and has been XRF. Size is US 7-8 but can be adjusted professionally by a jewelry gold sleeve (without any alterations to the ring itself).
This piece is extremely similar to the (Very few known) other rectangular Emerald and Gold rings seen in many research published books, such as the one is Bob Frogfoot Weller’s book.
Surely to be highly sought after and prized by all Atocha Collectors!
