Fly Fishing Colorado (Part 1): The Best Brown Trout Fishing I’ve Ever Experienced Ever Since I left Colorado in the summer of 2020 I’ve been looking for an excuse to go back. So, when my brother sent me a text saying he had accepted a job out in colorado and needed help moving, I jumped at the opportunity to get out west. Little did I know that the fishing would be so incredible! Our first day on the water started out rough. We got snowed out by a large blizzard and were forced to retreat away from the area we originally wanted to fish. But the day turned into something that was nothing short of spectacular with multiple BIG Brown trout coming from one stretch of undercut bank. Our fly of choice was a small jig streamer that was imitating a Leach that we would bounce along deep cuts of the river.
