Srila Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of the Hare Krishna Movement, now in stunning full HD video. The Acharya Part 2 continues presenting rare sound-syncronized color film footage of Srila Prabhupada going about his every day affairs travelling the world preaching Krishna consciousness. When a living being is awakened to his original constitutional position of Krishna consciousness he becomes filled with sublime spiritual emotions that have no material counterpart. As a great self-realized and God conscious saint, Srila Prabhupada often exhibited the spiritual happiness that Krishna describes in the Bhagavad-gita. That sacred and ancient fountainhead of wisdom has this to say about the final state of human perfection: “In that joyous state one is situated in boundless transcendental happiness and enjoys himself through transcendental senses. Established thus, one never departs from the truth and upon gaining this he knows that there is no greater gain.“ In this film we see Srila Prabhupada being interviewed on the nightly news in the studios of a US television station, then we see one of his regular press conferences at a US airport just after his arrival. These two sections show the great interest the media and press had in the Hare Krishna movement during the 1970s in the United States. The program concludes with an afternoon meeting in Srila Prabhupada’s garden at New Dwarka, the Los Angeles Hare Krishna temple, with many scholars and professors from nearby universities. It is a very lively discussion and shows how Srila Prabhuapda succeeded in engaging and getting the intelligent class of men to appreciate the philosophy of Krishna consciousness.
