Some of the compilations which were not yet distributed were stickered with the new logo to cover the old name. Leguan was originally a sublabel of Nova Tekk GmbH and released mainly goa trance compilations. Nova Tekk shut down in 2002 and was taken over by Da Music. Up to 2012 Da Music continued to release the Goa-Head series under this sublabel. Leguan is now a division of CR-Consult GmbH. Release has a decent artist line-up from the veterans . Project, The Delta, X-Dream, Koxbox, Dimension 5, Analog Pussy and newer artists which became fairly popular in late 90’s/early ’00 like Tarsis and . and the 2 side-projects of Dimension 5: Ra and Electron Wave. Though supposed to be for chilling the music is not much chilled at all most times. Ranging from breaks, dub and Psybient mainly, none of the tracks is pure ambient or goes out of the psychedelic border too much. Though 4/4 beats are rare the music is still energetic most times. Being released on Da-Music and sporting the words Goa – Psychedelic on cover a lot of people might have passed this over for that, but with Da-Music quality was consistent. Sadly release had no follow-up. If you liked this try also Psychedelic Chillout 1 and Psychedelic Chilling 2. These are slightly better in the sense they are ’deeper’, but Psychedelic Chill has nothing to be ashamed of the other 2 and next to each other on the shelf will make a nice ’trilogy’. _____ No Copyright Intended!
