“As Nice As Nice!“ (1933)

Full title reads: “St. Heliers [sic]. ’As Nice as Nice!“ Fun - fast and furious - at Jersey’s famous Carnival and Battle of Flowers.“ St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands. Young boys dressed as sailors pull small float decorated with flowers to look like a boat. In it sits a young girl. Float decorated as a house with young boy dressed as Santa Claus / Father Christmas stuck in the chimney. Float decorated as Roman chariot with two flower horses pulling it. Larger floats travel round the arena. One float is decorated in memory of the soldiers of WW1. One looks like a Viking longboat. The Battle of Flowers starts.
