West German G1 & Austrian - FN FAL Variants Part III

Continuing with Part III, we look at two FAL types adopted in the late 1950s. The Gewehr.1 was West Germany’s first standard issue modern rifle after WWII, although it would remain in frontline service for only a brief time due to politics & bad blood from the war. The was very similar to the G1, and would remain as Austria’s standard issue rifle for over two decades, where it was well respected and valued. Featured in this video are two parts kit builds, both on DSA Type I forged receivers. Visit
