Painting GREEN GRASS in a SUMMER SCENE: en plein air in OILS

I’ve always avoided painting those really bright greens that are ubiquitous in the summer months. Partly because I don’t really like the colour but also because I was wary about pushing the values so high in the shadows to match the bright highlights. In this episode, I face those fears and paint the green fields behind my house, with the help of a painting from a Danish artist and my daughter, who gets to be a model.
