Iran president vows ’stronger’ response if Israel retaliates following Tuesday’s attack

“What we want from US and European countries is to tell the entity they have planted in the region to stop the bloodshed.“ During a joint press conference with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, in Doha, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that if Israel “wants to react” to Tuesday’s missile attack, Iran would deliver a “stronger response”. Iran fired a barrage of rockets at targets across Israel on Tuesday evening in its largest-ever attack on the country. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that the attack was in response to Israel’s killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan in Beirut, as well as the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July.
