Mikael Carlson Pfalz D VIII. Short filmversion. Jesper Rådegård Aviation Video

The Pfalz was designed near the end of WWI to be the ultimate fighter aircraft. A light wooden airframe built around the huge 11-cylinder, 200 hp Siemens-Halske geared rotary resulted in spectacular performance. Only a small number of aircraft entered service in Germany before the war ended. Mikael Carlson’s reproduction is powered by an original engine – the only one running in the world. The construction of the aircraft is as true to the original as can possibly be. Filmed on location in Skåne, Sweden, September 2020.
