World Ballet Day at the National Opera of Ukraine

You will attend a traditional ballet class and have a unique opportunity to observe the rehearsals of the leading soloists - Natalia Matsak, Tetyana Lyozova, Anastasia Shevchenko, Yan Vana, Yaroslav Tkachuk, Serhiy Kryvokon. Fragments from the performances “Spring and Fall“, “Forest Song“, “5 Tangos“ will be rehearsed on the stage of the National Opera of Ukraine. Famous artists and figures of the world ballet community will be the guests of the broadcast: • John Neumeier, director and choreographer of Hamburg Ballet • Rachel Beaujean, associate artistic director of the Dutch National Ballet, director of the Hans van Manen Foundation • Alexei Ratmansky, choreographer, artist in residence at New York City Ballet • Nino Ananiashvili, artistic director of the State Ballet of Georgia • Volodymyr Malakhov, professor at the Beijing Dance Academy, former artistic director of the Deutsche Staatsballett Berlin • Oleksandr Ryabko, principal of Hamburg Ballet, assistant choreographer of John Neumeier • Alexander Zhembrovskyy, former soloist of the Dutch National Ballet, assistant choreographer of Hans van Manen, owner of the “Zhembrovskyy ballet dance fitness” school • Frank Andersen, former artistic director of the Royal Danish Ballet, former artistic director of the Royal Swedish Ballet, former artistic director of the Royal Danish Ballet • Tamiyo Kusakari, former ballerina at the Asami Maki Ballet Tokyo, actress Welcome to join us! #worldballetday
