Hurricane Fiona hit Nova Scotia, Canada on September 24th 2022. Thousands of homes were left without power as 150km/h winds hit. Heavy rain and tidal surges caused flash flooding in low lying areas. Trees were pulled down, and buildings collapsed in the strong winds. Streets were left covered in debris, making travel unsafe. Emergency services are working to help affected citizens. The storm has already hit Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, and could be followed by Hurricane Hermine.
