Priscilla Rachun Linn is a 78-year-old grandma who became addicted to Korean dramas, also known as K-dramas, after she watched the Netflix series “Navillera.”
She started following her K-drama crushes on social media and she was flattered when she thought they were sliding into her DMs.
“How special that made me feel! These amazing guys chose me because I am caring, sensitive, discreet and funny — an all-around very special person,” Priscilla wrote in an op-ed. “And it didn’t hurt that I had recently posted a glamorous photo on Instagram that shaved decades off my age.”
But reality hit Priscilla after she got a DM asking for money from an account that she initially thought was run by actor Ahn Hyo-seop from the Netflix show “Business Proposal.” Read more: Subscribe to The Washington Post on YouTube:
