Starring Rudolf Nureyev and Sir Robert Helpmann, the film DON QUIXOTE had its World Premiere at the Sydney Opera House on July 19th 1973 attended by the Governor General and military brass bands. It then went on to have a Royal Gala Performance in London on Australia day 1974 attended by HRH Princess Margaret and the stars of the film and ballet world. Dame Alicia Markova, Dame Ninette de Valois, Beryl Grey, Merle Park, Roland Petit, Zizi Jeanmarie, socialite Rebel Penfold Russell and, of course, Sheila Scotter.
