Titles read: “MEASURE FOR MEASURE!“
Location of events unknown - London?
As commentator talks of the law insisting on accurate measure when anything liquid is bought or sold, we see a man filling his car petrol tank from a pump; milk being stirred by machinery in a vat and milk bottles coming off a rotating machine; a measure of scotch being taken from a bottle in a bar and a pint of beer being pulled.
At the London Science Museum we see several measuring vessels from ancient Egyptian times through to the late 19th century - a woman dressed as Cleopatra looks at them. Commentator says “All this raises the question - what’s in a pint?“. M/S of a man in a flat cap, drinking a pint - he turns to the camera and says in a cockney geezer voice “Hops if you’re lucky!“.
