Zionism’s SHOCKING HISTORY, 2023 Year In Review, & Ritchie Torres EXPOSED

Historian and host of the podcast Historiansplaining Samuel Biaggeti looks back at the biggest stories of 2023, provides the historical context for them and talka about the history of zionism. But first Jason Rosenberg, Ilana Cruger-Zaken and Richie Merino talk about why they infiltrated discussion between U.S. Representatives Ritchie Torres (D-NY) and Mike Lawler (R-NY), moderated by Mijal Bitton and held at 92Y on New York’s Upper East Side. Lawler and Torres introduced a bill to create a new Special Envoy for the Abraham Accords (which normalizes relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain) which passed in the House of Representatives through the National Defense Authorization Act of 2024 (NDAA). The audience members said things like “GET HER OUT! GET THE F*CK OUT! WE’RE GONNA DOX THE SH*T OUT OF YOU!“ The security guards were rough with the protestors and one woman in the audience assaulted one of the protestors. Jason and Richie will discuss Torres’s record as well as Israel’s pinkwashing. Then Bethlehem-based journalist Yumna Patel gives a West Bank update. Samuel Biagetti holds a doctorate in early American history. He uses his knowledge in his antique dealership, in producing the podcast Historiansplaining, in his writings, and in giving college-level lectures.
