FILM JEST DOSTĘPNY NA - SHORT EXPLANATION IN ENGLISH BELOW Film jest próbą uratowania od zapomnienia relacji ostatnich żyjących świadków bestialskiej rzezi dokonanej przez ukraińskich nacjonalistów na Polakach z Kresów Wschodnich. Jest to zbiór dramatycznych świadectw ludzi, którym udało się przeżyć przemilczane później ludobójstwo. Produkcja wzbogacona jest o archiwalia, współczesne nagrania miejsc zbrodni sprzed 70 lat oraz inscenizacje historyczne. Całości dopełniają wypowiedzi narratora. Film nagrodzony na Festiwalu “Niepokorni, Niezłomni, Wyklęci“ w Gdyni w 2015 r. Reżyseria: Konrad Kulig, Mateusz Radomski In September 1939 Nazi German and Soviet Russia invaded Poland. They divided Polish territory into two parts and started to occupy our country. In June 1941 Germans attacked Russians and took all the Polish territory to their occupied zone. After that, Ukrainians (in pre-war Poland they were one of the national minorities) tried to build their own state, on the ground of collaborating with Hitler and supporting ideology of ukrainian nationalists (with Stepan Bandera, their leader). This ideology led Ukrainians to kill more than 100 000 Poles, the habitans of Eastern areas of pre-war Poland. The main massacres were in 1943-1944. In the movie you can see people who survived this genocide, called Massacres of Poles in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia. Nowadays, in the name of political correctness, many ukrainian and even polish politicians tries to forget this crime. In Ukraine we can see building the national identity based on the Stepan Bandera’s ideology. The same ideology, wich has led to unimaginable tragedy of thousands Polish people.
