First Impressions of MONGOLIA : From Soviet Era to Nomadic Life

Mongolia used to be a big white spot for me on the map, it always inrigued me, and finally I am here! I started my trip on the border with Mongolia in Russia - Ulan Ude, the capital of Buryatia republic. Then headed to Ulaanbaatar and further to the steppes to stay with a nomadic family and learn about country’s Soviet heritage and nomadic traditions. I’ve always dreamt about traveling in Mongolia, and it wouldn’t be possible without 📌 - Nomaad Glamping Tours. I definitely was impressed, so I recommend :) #travel #travelvlog #mongolia #mongoliatravel #ulaanbaatar #sovietunion #soviet Time codes: 00:00 Buryatia → Mongolia 02:28 Ulaanbaatar 03:22 Soviet heritage in Ulaanbaatar 04:36 Mongolian street food 05:08 GO MONGOLIA! 06:23 Swastika symbols and praying to di*ks?! 07:25 Buryatia vs Mongolia, Mongol language and Buddhism 09:29 Lunar New Year food 10:42 A city built by the Soviets 12:08 Staying with a nomadic family and trying nomad food 17:14 A school for nomadic families’ kids 21:48 Why do I stay nomadic? 📌 - Russian Speaking Club where you can practice the Russian language.
