The epicenter was located at a depth of 10 km, 33 km from the metropolis of Hefei. Several aftershocks were later recorded. Millions of people felt the shaking. Eyewitnesses are sharing footage of the natural disaster on social networks. Furniture shook in houses, objects fell from shelves. Some residents ran out of their homes. There were no reports of injuries or serious damage. Anhui is a province in eastern China. The administrative center and largest city is Hefei.
