Talking duck can say ’you bloody fool!’ after learning to mimic caretaker, scientists find

A musk duck at the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve in Australia has learnt to ’speak’. The duck, named Ripper, has been recorded sounding like he is saying ’you bloody fool’, which is thought to be one of his caretakers’ catchphrases. Musk ducks are now listed alongside parrots and mynah birds as a species capable of mimicking human language.
