Millions of ice bombs hit Spain! Hellish hailstorm in Girona!

A massive hail storm hit Spain on August 30. In the town of La Bisbal d’Empordà in the province of Girona, the size of the hailstones was about 10 centimeters. According to the meteorological service, the size of the hailstones exceeded the maximum diameter in Catalonia since 2002. Eyewitnesses described the storm as “10 minutes of terror“. The hailstorm damaged hundreds of houses and cars. Firefighters received more than 40 calls due to the storm. Crops in the area were also partially destroyed. About 50 people received injuries of varying severity.
