Sukhoi Su-25 “Frogfoot“ | Edit

The Sukhoi Su-25 Grach (NATO reporting name: Frogfoot) is a subsonic, single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft developed in the Soviet Union by Sukhoi. It was designed to provide close air support for Soviet Ground Forces. Despite having a name of an amphibian given by NATO, it’s usually called “The Rook“, “Gracha“ or “The Flying Tank“ because of it’s heavy protection armanent with heavy titanium around the cockpit, protecting the pilot. The first prototype made its maiden flight on 22 February 1975. After testing, the aircraft went into series production in 1978 in Tbilisi in the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic. Today 18 nations world wide use a specialized export variant in their Air Force. Meanwhile the most advanced variant’s user is Russian Federation. My tag: ItsEricTheDude#4330
