Accompanied by an old-timey greyscale music video of nautical ages past, this initial wave of the Toronto psychedelic doom band arrives both punchy and melodic. “The sea echoes with songs of past lives, long forgotten,” the band writes about the track, slick with a nostalgia that is perfectly reflected in the music video. Like the fictional luck dragon, Falkor, from the 1984 children’s classic The NeverEnding Story where the band gets its name, the single’s riffs have an air of alluring magic.
